Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information the Moon Shine AI mobile application (iOS and Android — hereafter the "App") collects from its users, how this information is used, and how it is protected. By using the App, you accept the practices described here.

1. Summary

• The vast majority of your personal data stays only on your device.
• The App has no user account system; we don't collect emails or passwords.
• To generate astrological readings, our own server (tasarimm.com) acts as a proxy and forwards requests to the Google Gemini AI service. moonshineai.app is the marketing site; AI requests are handled on separate infrastructure at tasarimm.com.
• The free version is supported by ads (Google AdMob); the premium subscription is ad-free. With your consent, ads may use your device advertising identifier — see section 4.6.
• We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the performance of our app install ads; data sharing is subject to your consent. See section 4.7.
• We don't sell your data to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

2.2 Automatically collected information

• Device notification permission and local scheduler: Your device's timezone and notification permission are used to schedule daily morning notifications. Notification content is generated on your device and shown by the device's local scheduler. No push tokens are sent to our servers.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): When the App unexpectedly terminates, anonymous crash stack traces are sent to Firebase Crashlytics. These reports do not contain your personal data.
• Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics): Fully anonymous event data is collected — which screens are used, which features are preferred. Your birth details and chat content are not included.
• Device-based usage counter: To enforce the daily chat limit for free users, an anonymous, irreversible device hash and counter is held temporarily on our server. This hash cannot identify you.
• Advertising identifier (free version only): In the ad-supported free version, Google AdMob may use your device advertising ID (Android AAID / iOS IDFA) to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. On iOS this requires your App Tracking Transparency permission; in the EEA/UK it is governed by your consent choice. Premium subscribers see no ads. See section 4.6.
• Campaign measurement (Meta SDK): The App includes the Meta App Events SDK so we can measure the performance of the app install ads we run on Facebook and Instagram. No data is sent before your ad consent is resolved; once you consent, anonymous events such as install and app launch, along with your device advertising ID, may be shared with Meta. Your birth details and chat content are never shared. See section 4.7.

2.3 Information we do not collect

• Surname, email, phone number, address (for the optional display name, see 2.1)
• Location (GPS) — birthplace is a manual city entry; the device GPS location is not used
• Contacts, photo gallery, microphone, camera
• Payment card details — subscription transactions are handled entirely by App Store / Google Play; we have no access to card data

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

• Generating personalized astrological readings and analyses
• Personalizing daily/weekly/monthly celestial-event notifications on your device
• Performing synastry (relationship compatibility) analysis
• Calculating birth-time rectification
• Verifying your premium subscription rights (via App Store / Google Play)
• Showing ads to keep the free version available (Google AdMob; premium is ad-free)
• Keeping the App secure and bug-free

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Moon Shine AI Backend Proxy (tasarimm.com)

Reading, chat, and transit-analysis requests pass through the chat.php endpoint we host on tasarimm.com on the way to the Google Gemini API. The reason is to keep our Gemini API key out of the client and to validate every request with a controlled identity (X-App-Secret). Our server:

• Does not persistently log or store requests.
• Holds only an anonymous device hash and counter for the daily free-tier usage limit; this record resets within 24 hours.
• Stores no data that could be linked to your name or identity.

4.2 Google Gemini (AI service)

Our server forwards the following data to the Google Gemini API for reading generation:

• Birth date, time, place
• Calculated planetary positions and zodiac information
• Goal (Money/Relationships/Health/Career)
• Text you write in the chat
• Your display name, if you chose to enter one
• Partner details for synastry (optional)

Your surname, contact details, or other information that directly identifies you are not sent; the optional display name is passed along solely so the assistant can address you and is not stored. Google's privacy policy applies to its processing of this data: policies.google.com/privacy. For Gemini API data terms: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.

4.3 Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)

Google Firebase services are used for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. Your birth details, chat text, or personal data are not sent to these services; only anonymous event counters and crash stack traces are transmitted. More info: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4.4 Apple App Store and Google Play Billing

Subscription purchases:

• iOS: Apple App Store / Apple ID — apple.com/legal/privacy
• Android: Google Play Billing — policies.google.com/privacy

Only an anonymous app-user identifier is shared with the stores; we have no access to your card or identity information.

4.5 RevenueCat (subscription state validation)

RevenueCat Inc. is used so your premium subscription state stays consistent across devices. Only an anonymous app-user ID and the store-issued purchase token are shared with RevenueCat.

4.6 Google AdMob (Advertising)

The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads. Depending on your consent, AdMob may access your device advertising identifier (Android AAID / iOS IDFA) and limited technical data (device and OS info, approximate region, ad interactions) to deliver, frequency-cap, measure, and protect ads against fraud.

• Personalized vs. non-personalized: If you grant consent, ads may be personalized. If you decline, ads are still shown but are non-personalized.
• EEA / UK consent (Google UMP): Before ads are shown we present a Google-certified consent form. You can change your choice anytime via "Ad privacy options" in the App settings.
• iOS (App Tracking Transparency): Before any tracking-based advertising, iOS asks for your permission. You can change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

4.7 Meta (Facebook) SDK — campaign measurement

We run app install ads on Facebook and Instagram to introduce the App to new users. To measure how these campaigns perform, the App includes the Meta App Events SDK (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc.). Depending on your consent, the following data may be shared with Meta:

• The fact that the App was installed and opened (anonymous event data)
• Your device advertising ID (Android AAID / iOS IDFA; on iOS only if you have granted App Tracking Transparency permission)
• Limited technical data such as device and operating system information
• Subscription purchase events (amount and currency only; never your payment or card details)

Your birth details, chat content, and any data that directly identifies you are never sent to Meta. Automatic data sharing stays switched off until your ad consent is resolved (the Google UMP form in the EEA/UK, plus ATT permission on iOS); if you decline, it is never enabled. 5. Data Retention and Deletion

• All personal data you provide is stored on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
• Reading requests sent to our server are not persistently stored server-side after the response is generated.
• Requests forwarded to Google Gemini are subject to Google's Gemini API data retention policies.
• A device-side cache of Gemini responses is kept briefly to reduce network traffic; this cache is also deleted when the App is uninstalled.

6. Your Rights (KVKK / GDPR)

Because all your personal data is kept on your device, you can directly access, correct, or delete it yourself:

• Access and correction: Update your birth details and goal from the "Profile" screen in the App.
• Deletion: Use the "Delete my data" option in the App settings, or uninstall the App to delete everything.
• Subscription cancellation: Cancel anytime from Apple ID Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play Subscriptions (Android).

7. Security

For on-device storage we use the platform's standard storage mechanisms (iOS / Android). All communication with our server, Gemini, Firebase, App Store / Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat is protected with TLS encryption. Server requests are validated with a key-based application signature. No system is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

8. Children

Moon Shine AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If, as a parent or guardian, you become aware that a child under 13 has entered personal data into the App, please contact us at [email protected]; the data will be removed immediately from the device and from our server counters.

9. International Data Transfers

Google Gemini, Firebase, and the store back-ends may process data on global server infrastructure. This means your data may be transferred outside Turkey or the EU. The providers apply appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When material changes occur, we will notify you in the App or on this page. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest effective version of this policy.
